Wow, what a beautiful metal roof! We're here in Clyde Hill and have finished this fantastic project. The newly installed metal roof is a stunning addition to this home. This project, completed by Three Tree Roofing, features a Nu-Ray NRM 2000 standing seam metal roof. Made from 24-gauge steel, these panels are 16 inches wide with pencil ribs and finished in Old Gray Zinc. We selected the NRM-2000 series panel for its strength, modern aesthetic, and exceptional durability.

As part of our standard installation process, we cover the entire roof deck with a high-temperature ice and water shield. This protective underlayment enhances the metal roof's durability by safeguarding the underlying structure from potential moisture damage. When we assemble our new roof, we always use a high-temperature ice and water shield covering the entire roof deck. Once the ice and water shield was in place, we assembled the roof and replaced five skylights, ensuring both the roofing system and skylights were covered under warranty.

In the area where two roof slopes converge to form a dead valley, we used a Gray TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) membrane to ensure effective waterproofing. Roof valleys are susceptible to water accumulation during rain, so we reinforce these sections with a synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield, and metal valley flashing. The flat TPO membrane closely matches the roof's metal finish, providing a seamless look and protection against water infiltration. We installed a 6K gutter system designed to handle the high-volume runoff typical of metal roofs to complete the system. This larger gutter design effectively channels water to the downspouts, preventing overflow and managing water efficiently.

Following the roofing installation, Artisan Electric added solar panels, further enhancing the functionality and sustainability of the home.
