There were some ventilation concerns when we removed the old roof. To address this, we removed some plywood, installed intake baffles so that the attic space could breathe, installed new plywood, and began installing the new roof. For enhanced durability, we used metal valleys at the intersections where two roof slopes meet. When it rains, water funnels into these roof valleys, so we reinforce them with a synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield, and metal valley flashing. This layered approach ensures that the roof is well-protected from water damage. Additionally, we painted the vent pipes to match the roof, blending them seamlessly into the design. Safety anchors were left on the roof to facilitate future maintenance, ensuring safety and convenience.
