Video Description
This metal roof installation in Redmond, Washington, is a remarkable transformation from a traditional composition roof to a state-of-the-art metal roofing system. The homeowners upgraded to a unique and stylish matte black Nu-Ray NRM-1000, 16-inch wide, 24-gauge metal panels featuring a pencil rib down the middle, which added texture and enhanced the roof's aesthetic appeal, as shown in the before and after photos.
In the video, Three Tree Roofing's dedicated team of skilled roofers diligently works on the metal installation, prioritizing safety using safety anchors, harnesses, and ropes. Incorporating two fixed skylights and two opening skylights into the design not only adds a visually appealing element but also provides an innovative solution for ventilation. The opening skylights offer a refreshing breeze during hot days, showcasing the team's commitment to aesthetics and functionality. This feature, growing in popularity, has become a recurrent addition to recent projects, contributing to the overall impressive result—a roof that combines elegance, low maintenance, and durability.
An additional advantage of this metal roof is its solar-ready configuration, adding a layer of future-proofing to the home. The ease of integrating solar power is a smooth one, as the clips required for solar panel installation seamlessly attach to the metal roof without the need to poke any holes in the metal panels. This approach simplifies the solar integration process and preserves the roof's integrity. This forward-thinking feature enhances the metal roof's overall value by allowing homeowners to install solar technology in the future.

All right. These are my favorite cool before and after pictures of this project. You'll see that it started with a traditional composition roof. That's the most common type of roof that's out there. We wanted to do something different here. So we converted to metal, which is fantastic. It turned out incredible, as shown in the before and after pictures.
The crew was hard at work in that metal installation. Notice the safety anchors, and everybody's wearing harnesses and ropes. That's very important to keep everybody safe. This panel is a matte black color. It's a Nu-Ray, and our NRM 1000, 24-gauge, 16-inch wide panels with a pencil rib down the middle give it some texture and good looks.
This roof turned out awesome. There are two fixed skylights and two opening skylights. So when you're upstairs, and it's hot out, you can open the skylights and get some nice breeze through the house. It's a terrific option that we're starting to install more and more. The other neat thing about this roof is if the owners decide to install solar, the clips pinch right onto our metal roofs, so you don't have to poke any holes in the metal.
