We're out here on the job site. This job is a composition roof with composition asphalt shingles. While here, we'll talk about all the different composition types available. There are several kinds to choose from. So, let's start talking about the other grades. They come in a good, better, best. That's the way we like to think of it.
So here we have the CertainTeed Landmark, which is good on the good, better, and best scale. It's an architectural style, so it has a lot of definition, just like some other shingles in their line that we'll look at later. The landmark is a great shingle to start with. It still has a 50-year material warranty and a 25-year labor warranty backed by the manufacturer, and it comes in many different colors. So you can check all those out on our website.
We'll move on to Landmark Pro, which is the better option. We're moving up here; there's a slight difference between the appearance. The shingle has a thicker definition, so it's a little bigger. The main difference is that our CertainTeed Landmark had a 10-year algae blocker built into it. The CertainTeed Landmark Pro has a 15-year Street Fighter warranty. So it's going to let the roof look new a little longer. Again, we're getting a thicker shingle.
Next, we have the CertainTeed Landmark TL. TL stands for triple laminate. This shingle is three layers thick, and we can see visually that the shingle looks much more prominent. That's an excellent option if you're going from a cedar shake roof or a tile. The CertainTeed Landmark TL will keep the same nice big appearance that we were used to when we pulled in from the driveway and saw our old roof. So, it's the same: 50-year material warranty, 25 on the labor, and then 15 Street Fighter, CertainTeed landmarks TL.
Here, we have the CertainTeed Northgate Climate Flex. This shingle is a whole different category. We had our good, better, and best with the Landmark, the Landmark Pro, and Landmark TL. This modified shingle made from recycled rubber and plastics mixed with asphalt allows the shingles to expand and contract better. It means that the granules, the little rocks on the top of the shingle, stay on the shingle longer, meaning the roof lives longer. Shingles like this are the future of all roofing.
We're moving on to the CertainTeed Presidential and Presidential TL; they're both on this board. This shingle is a different. So this is going to be their heavyweight. CertainTeed Presidential and Presidential TL are at the top of the food chain here, a heavy shingle. We can see the definition
These composition shingles look like cedar shakes. We have a lot of homeowners associations that require this product or cedar shake. It is an excellent way to go, with low maintenance, a 50-year warranty on material, a 25-year workmanship warranty backed by the manufacturer, and a 15-year Street Fighter warranty, and it gives us a nice visual appearance.
