Video Description
Three Tree Roofing recently replaced a 15-year-old composition roof on a Redmond, Washington house with a Nu-Ray metal roof. The aging condition of the composition roof prompted the decision to replace it. The NRM-2000 roof, designed for lower-pitched roofs, was an ideal choice for this house.
The NRM-2000 panels used in this project offer a combination of structural strength and architectural aesthetics. They feature a built-in anti-siphon seam specifically designed for low-pitch roofs. The onsite roll-forming process, facilitated by a machine, enhances weather resistance, making the roof highly resilient to water penetration. The 16-inch pencil rib panels in charcoal gray contribute to the overall architectural appeal of the roof.
Challenges arose in dealing with the existing skylights, which were incompatible with metal roofing due to their low height. To address this, our on-staff carpenters skillfully built curbs for the skylights, ensuring compatibility with the metal roof. Additionally, the project involved the installation of new skylights and the addition of new gutters. This comprehensive approach combines the skylights, roof, and gutters, creating a cohesive and functional whole-house system.

Three Tree Roofing has just completed another roof. This project was in Redmond. We removed the composition roof. The roof had put its time in and was ready for replacement. We upgraded to a Nu-Ray metal roof. This roof is an NRM-2000, designed for a low-pitched roof like this one. We use a machine to roll the seams and make the roof almost able to go underwater. It's pretty cool.
The house had two existing skylights, which are incompatible with metal roofing due to their low height.
