Video Description
Three Tree Roofing recently completed an impressive roofing project in Burien, Washington, featuring solar panels and eight skylights. The project reflects a growing trend towards incorporating solar installations in roofing projects, emphasizing the benefits of solar power as a clean and green energy source that significantly reduces electricity costs.
The key highlight of the roofing system is the Nu-Ray metal roof, specifically the charcoal gray NRM-2000 series panel with pencil ribs. This choice is strategic, as the specialized machine used by Three Tree Roofing seamlessly rolls the seams together, ensuring a perfect roofing system with no leaks. Despite the roof's shallower pitch, the roofing team addresses potential water runoff issues with specialized metal roofing featuring an anti-siphon groove. The meticulous selection of materials and roofing techniques demonstrates our commitment to durability and longevity.
The project also includes a flat roof section at the back of the home, where Three Tree Roofing installed a 60-mil TPO membrane. The combination of the Nu-Ray Metal and Weatherbond TPO roofing systems highlights a comprehensive approach to roofing that addresses different house sections with tailored solutions.
Natural light is a significant aspect of the project, evident from the numerous skylights and solar tubes incorporated into the design. The team's journeymen carpenters played a crucial role in the installation process, cutting holes in the roof, creating sky wells, building curbs, and installing the skylights. This attention to detail enhances the project's aesthetic appeal and aligns with the client's preference for ample natural light.
This beautiful Two Roof Combo in Burien, Washington, by Three Tree Roofing stands out as a comprehensive roofing solution that seamlessly integrates solar panels, specialized metal roofing, TPO membrane, abundant skylights, and solar tubes. The project not only reflects the expertise of the roofing team but also addresses sustainability and energy efficiency. All right. We're back in Burien. The prevailing trend indicates an increase in solar integration in roofing, underscoring the significance of harnessing solar energy for its substantial energy savings and environmental impact. Imagine the prospect of eliminating your power bill—How cool would that be? The optimal approach lies in installing solar panels on a metal roof. Solar energy makes a huge difference; the best way to do that is to put solar on a metal roof.
This roof is a Nu-Ray Metals roof in charcoal gray, NRM2000 series panel, 16 inches wide—pencil ribbed. We have a lot going on here. But it all will work perfectly with no leaks and last forever metal. We chose the 2000 series panel because we use a specialized machine that adeptly rolls the seams together ensuring a perfect roofing system with no leaks.
The pitch is lower on this roof; it is not a steep roof. It's a shallow roof. So, we must be careful when diverting the water off the roof. We use a unique metal for that. The roof also has a flat section in the back. There, we installed a 60-mil TPO membrane over the back section.
Everything ties together. You can also see there are eight skylights plus solar tubes. We love natural light, so we added the skylights and solar tubes when we installed the roof. We have journeymen carpenters on staff who were able to cut the holes in the roof, install a sky well, build a curb, and install the skylights.
This project turned out perfectly. Let us know what you think. If you have any questions, give us a call at 206-312-7663 (ROOF)! Thank you.
